Tickets & Fare Concessions

South West Coach Lines is pleased to offer a range of concession fares and express coach travel tickets. Customers wishing to claim concession fares require:

  • a valid concession card in their possession at the time of booking
  • a valid concession card in their possession at the time of travel
  • to be the named cardholder of the concession card
  • to be able to provide secondary identification on request

Child Concession

Who is Eligible Proof Required Entitlement
  Infant two years old and younger None required Free travel
  Child fourteen years old and younger None required Concession fare

 

Student Concession

South West Coach Lines are unable to accept student identification from your educational institution as proof that you are a full-time secondary or tertiary student. To be able to claim a concession fare, you must present your Student or Tertiary SmartRider when purchasing a ticket and when you travel.

Senior Concession

Your Senior SmartRider card is combined with your West Australian Seniors card. This double-sided card is conveniently a Senior SmartRider on one side and a WA Seniors card on the other.

Bookings for Senior concession fares can be made with your Western Australian Senior’s Card by:

  • Booking online,
  • When booking your fare you will require your 6 digit Western Australian Senior Card Number (not the SR number) found on your SmartRider card. Bookings for Senior concession fare can be made by:
  • Contacting South West Coach Lines directly on (08) 9753 7700 between 8:00am and 4:30pm Monday to Friday
  • Visiting a South West Coach Lines Booking Centre or Booking Agent

Pension Concession

Vision Impaired Concession

People with a vision impairment in possession of a Travel Pass for Persons with a Vision Impairment are entitled to unlimited free journeys for them and an accompanying guide.

Western Australian or interstate		 Free travel
  An instructor conducting training for persons with a vision impairment and guide dogs Orientation and Mobility

Cardholders from other Australian States are also entitled to free travel on presentation of their card.

Companion Card Concession

South West Coach Lines is a proud affiliate of the National Companion Card Program which provides for a person with a significant disability who qualifies for a Companion card to have a carer accompany them for free.

The Companion card is issued by National Disability Services WA to people with a significant permanent disability who require attendant care support from a companion. South West Coach Lines honours the Companion card system by allowing a companion or support person (of a Companion Card holder) to travel at no charge.
